Earlier this week, the Only Watch World Tour kicked off in Monaco. Each stop gives the public a chance to get up close to the 55 interesting and unique replica watches being offered at the auction, which takes place in Geneva on November 6th, 2022. Sadly, though the tour visits Dubai, Tokyo, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Macau, there's no North American location on the schedule. So when Tudor reached out with live photos of their Black Bay GMT for Only swiss replica omega, we figured you all would be keen to see the goods.
Based on a standard Black Bay GMT, this unique version is called the Black Bay GMT One for Only Watch 2021 and it features a desaturated and well-worn take on the format that is characterized by the complete application of a "secret stainless-steel aging technique." That textured finish is complemented by a matching dark grey bezel, a grey handset, and a date wheel that is warmly color-matched to the dial's lume plots. The Black Bay wears the monochromatic look really well and while I think the proprietary finish is plenty cool, it's the muted matte ruthenium handset over the matte dark grey dial that really speaks to me. I love the look of that GMT hand in a non-colored finish, which manages to feel so different from the original.
If you look closely at the stealthy grey lettering on the dial, you'll also notice that Tudor has fitted this one-of-one BB GMT with a Master Chronometer certified version of their GMT movement, called the MT5652-1U. While the standard Black Bay GMT (a watch I am long on record for loving) features only COSC-certification, the additional METAS spec was recently debuted with the launch of the Black Bay Ceramic and it's great to see the same attention given to the MT5652.
Visible through a display caseback, the movement has been treated to a finish that matches the gunmetal aesthetic of the GMT One. As you would expect, the specs are largely unchanged from the production BB GMT, with a 41mm case size, 14.6mm thickness, a full steel bracelet, and 200 meters of water resistance.
With its local-jumping GMT functionality, the Black Bay GMT has been a popular model for Tudor as it offers the "flyer" GMT style without the price tag that is common in the space, with the production model carrying a list price of $4,050. For the Only Watch auction, the Black Bay GMT One has an estimate of CHF 4,000 ?8,000, but those numbers are often far from accurate (remember this?).

It captures that well-worn "gunmetal" look where the edges are lighter but it has been done without sacrificing those edges to a destructive outcome. I'm sure it won't be for everyone, or even for Tudor's core lineup, but for a piece unique meant for a true collector, I think it works really well and there is no way this Black Bay GMT is going to be mistaken for any other example out there.
Offering a take on the Black Bay GMT that would likely look right at home on the wrist of John Connor in the years after Skynet has come online, the Black Bay GMT One is yet another special creation from Tudor for Only Watch. This year, now in its ninth outing, Only Watch will yet again be raising money for research in the fight against Duchenne muscular dystrophy and the main event will be held on November 6th.
